What's a bwof and how do I know if i need one?
A BWOF is short for Building Warrant of Fitness. Every building that has a Compliance Schedule are required to have one. A building owner needs to renew a BWoF every 12 months, signing, issuing and publicly displaying it to prove the building’s life safety systems (called specified systems) have been maintained and inspected.
But hang on, whats a Compliance Schedule?
Buildings containing certain safety and essential systems, known as specified systems, are issued with a compliance schedule and regular inspections (not including buildings used wholly or partly as a single household unit)
